"Year 2010 was off to a slow start in dancehall ,with many thinking that it could  be one of the worse years in dancehall history.But as the year went by,a good number  of  mega  hit  singles emerged that  rescue  the genre from  recession.
.{My Heart -Wayne Marshall}.
Wayne Marshall hit single "My Heart" was one of the biggest dancehall releases     of 2010.The Remix features Mavado & the song made it to several reggae charts worldwide, including Africa, Europe.


.{Damian Marley/ Nas - Patience}.

"Patience" is one of the biggest reggae / hip hop crossover songs of 2010. "Patience" was release on the duo collaborative critically acclaimed album “Distant Relatives"

.{Beenie Man - I 'm Ok}.
Beenie Man was one of the biggest come back of the year together with Fambo."I'm ok" is one of Beenie's best banger of the last couple of years.



.{Vybz Kartel/Russian - Jeans N Fitted}.
"Jeans N Fitted" is been  number one in Jamaica  for a minute and was also on charts in New York and Europe during the summer of 2010. The video for the song current has over   3 million views on Youtube.


.{Sean Kingston/Nicki Minaj-Let go (Dutty Love)}.
He's not a traditional Reggae/Dancehall artist but kids go crazy for him and all of his songs in Jamaica as worldwide and his video on youtube got more than 13 millions hits.


.{Fambo/Beenie Man - Rum & Redbull}.
Fambo & Beenie Man are the biggest come back of the year 2010 and this collabo is great. the banger reache charts all over ouside Jamaica doing well in Europe, America ,Asia.


.{I-Octane - My life}.
Several different artists realesed songs called "My Life" in 2010, in Jamaica.
Similar songs with similar titles but nobody like him was able to compete with the lyrics  and the appeal on listeners as I-Octane's song. Not bad for such a new and young artist.


.{Mavado/Stacious - Come To My Room}.
This is a nice and different song from  Mavado,where he' is showing a different side from his usual War/ Gully mode.


.{Vybz Kartel -Clarks}.
Clarks is been one of the biggest Vybz' success of the year  so much that  influenced style and fashion and  British classic shoe company has since opened up a new factory to supply the growing demand for the classic Desert and Wallabee. The song Clarks also give rise to Popcaan, one of MissGaza's favorite  rising member in the Vybz Kartel led Gaza Empire.Given Clarks success,  Vybz is opening is own shoe company.

.{Gyptian/Nicki Minaj - Hold Yuh}.
The biggest reggae worldwide success of the year once again Gyptian scoring big and it's surely no surprise.This song raise his own career and made him very popular worldwide and also revived the whole dancehall scene, that was going across a period of low, capturing music fans from all over.The original version of "Hold Yuh" was released in 2009 but  really got famous in 2010 and even more so since then several versions and remixes was done off the song, including the popular Nicki Minaj remix and a soca version.So after posting  some of my fav remixes earlier here the original "Hold Yuh" video.

*Vybz Vs Beenie & Gaza Freshest Riddims*

As  MissGaza previuosly  reported  Beenie Man went  last week on the 
jamaican Nationwide Radio  90 FM's 'Ragashanti Live!' releasing comments  and also a song, Father God Help Him, about Vybz Kartel. According  to Vybz he will not be  addressing the  'The Doctor'  lyrically as  he has  no time for a feud with him.

It was being said that  Vybz Kartel ,alongside  Portmore  Empire  member 
 Popcaan, had performed a song directed at  Beenie Man last  week at 
his Street Vybz Thursday at the Building, New Kingston.
When  asked about the song,  Kartel responded that he has no energy to
waste on negativity. He has nuh time fi folly nor frivolous activity. Right 
now, he's working on his new album which will be released in April. 
Beenie and Kartel's friction became public recently when Kartel released 
a song on ZJ Chrome's 'Dancehall EFX' rhythm called Dancehall Hero, to 
which Beenie responded on the same rhythm with his 'correction'  called 
Father God Help Him. Speaking on Ragashanti's show Beenie said that he 
felt disrespected by Kartel through the song and other things. 
In his  yesterday latest statement ,however,Beenie commented that despite everything he still supports the 'Gaza', because he rates talent, he will keep
saying and using the word Gaza.
Kartel is very busy working on his new record as he announced to all his
fans just few days ago,anticipating  that it's going to be an  album produced 
by himself and Dreskull of Mixpak Records, that will features Kartel & the 
Gaza government.Busy as usual Kartel  will be appearing on a number of upcoming shows including ... Browns Town on Christmas Eve, Mobay on 
New Year's Eve and Anguilla and St Martin on the 27th and 28th December.

All the Gaza Camp Artists are very gifted and have a lot of 
songs out there,Popcaan, real name  Andre Sutherland, is 
the one i love most,the one that had me fall in love for Gaza 
and one of the youngest in the camp so far (with Dotta Coppa).
Popcaan  songs are so real, so intense, he can sings and he 
can rap and his style his unique and very personal,you can't 
confuse him and his voice with nobody's else in the Gaza Camp .
When he sings his voice runs like a bassline and  there's nothing
like him out there .Is one of a kind.A raising star in the Gaza Fam.
Any line he drops is fresh and real and is not a surprise that he's
getting known out there, overall after the quick european mini 
tour with Vybz that left crowds thirsty for more.
Born on July 1990 he met Vybz Kartel in 2007 while doing his
thing called "My Scheme" and got invited to join Vybz in the studio.
Lately is been hectic recording new songs, new videos and being
in tour with Vybez as well as the recent show in Kingston with 
Shawn Storm last friday.
His favorite artists are Vybz Kartel and Sizzla,and his advice to
young artists is to stay real and true to everything they do
in order to be on top of their game, exactly what he's doing !
In 2009 his career took off with hits like Nuh Ordinary Girl,

A crowd gathered at the St William Grant Park downtown 
Kingston this past friday as Digicell  launched  its 
It's Loaded Xmas promotion."
There was a lot of artists , and Popcaan  and Shawn Storm shared 
the stage with artists such as Tifa, Jermain Edwards, Camaley,  Queen Ifrica
and I-Octane  keeping the crowd singing along to their  tunes.
The Gaza Camp artists , Popcaan & Shawn Storm, had the crowd 
going crazy for their chunes and they sang along Gaza hits such
as Dream,My life, Gangster City, Up Inna di Club and Vybz Party.
I-Octane, performed at night singing  My Life, Mine Who You A Diss,
and his popular Puff It which was pulled up over four times at the 
crowd's request.

for a successfull  whirlwind tour that brought them 

in three countries over a four days mini tour.

Vybz  visited Europe last time 3 years ago and performed in
