*Sting 27 2010 Videos & Stories*

Sting , the  27  years  old  music festival  failed  to  hit the  mark on
Boxing Day.  Some  blamed  the  recession, { well,  is  going  to  get
worst for 2011}, the absence  of   Vybz  Kartel and Mavado  as  well
as  many  other  factors...whatever it was Sting  this  year was kind
of different. The big venue, Jamworld, in Portmore , St.Catherine,
was half empty well passed midnight, contrary to the  other  years,
Bounty didn 't  really show up cause  he didn't  receive his  deposit
as well  as some  of  the names  written  in the  anticipated  poster
weren't  even there  and the show was closed by Beenie, Assassin,
Kiprich and Ryno sharing the stage but not making the crowd too
happy. Sizzla Kalonji  brought a good  amount of  energy with his
set, with his long set  of  hits and  even if  in Portmore, Gaza Land,
he questioned Kartel latest bleaching habits receiving salutes from
the crowd. Sizzla's performance is been di best of the whole show.
Khago, I-Octane and Lady Saw were all clear stands out.
Khago was able to hold the crowd busy from the first song to the last
one, I-Octane was one other act that people went out for, Portmore
his own town, all dressed  in red, even if  his presence  on  stage  was
short he was the one that sparkled the fireworks.
Lady Saw was missing Sting stage for seven years, she  managed to
keep her shoes & wig on and she had a word from everybody :  Lisa
Hyper, Aidonia,Mavado,Kartel,Beenie Man and even Buju,  saying
that in his case she couldn 't hit him too hard and so preying for his
legal situation to end soon. What would have been the night's major
clash between the talent show runners-up — Kings  and  Queens  of
Dancehall's Reggae Queen, and Rising Stars' DJ Face —  had  to   be
aborted due to the use of profanity.
Other remarkamable performances of  the  night  were  def Ce'Cile,
the hilarious parody king Food Kartel, Romain Virgo, Richie Spice
&Etana.

Here some of the best of Sting 27 2010 in videos. More to b add soon.
Enjoy! Sting from 2000 to 2009,Sizzla, Beenie Man,Fanbo,Danger gigs .

*Boxing Day Extravaganza Kartel Was Not Arrested*

Rumors are once again wrong! Vybz Kartel wasn't arrested this past Sunday  at  club  Building,  in  Kingston,  instead his  biz  manager, Corey  Todd,  that    also manages the Building, was held in costudy for hrs during a raid @ the venue  on Sunday  during  what was supposed to be Kartel in concert,  the  Anti - Sting Boxing Day Extravaganza.
Speaking  with the press, yesterday, Todd  said  that  he feels the Building was unjustly raid by the police for the second timein two weeks.
Todd  explained  that  they  had a massive crowd in line all night from earlier on ( police sources are  talking  about  more  than 3000  people inside  and  3000 in the outside line)  when  the police raided the club with guns  being pulled  in  the air  that  caused  a lot of screaming and panic, also  somebody  got  arrested   and police said they will continue to follow leads  in search for people of interests.
Police also took Mr Corey Todd in custody for many hours and he reported being escorted to New Kingston Police Post while the club was being raided and later he was moved to the Mobile Reserve  and also to the Half Way Tree police station where is american passport was taken from him.
Kartel. who was the most important person of the event, was on his way to the venue when the raid was  conducted and he told the press "I wasn't surprised that the police came to lock off the Building so early while all the other clubs in New Kingston were left unscathed, because I had received a call earlier on a private number from someone claiming that I dissed them and only one show can be staged on Boxing night."

According to Todd, they will be putting on a free concert at the Building next Wednesday to make it up to the fans who were present and didn't get the performances they were promised.

*Boxing Day The Day After*

The boxing day show at the Building put on by Vybz Kartel and his
management team was shut down last night as the authorities  ran
in and dismantled the event as they did last week  on Thursday  at
the same venue.
Reports indicate that the show had too much people trying to attend,
there was a huge line and therefore  all the crowd could not be guested
in the Building NiteClub resulting in breaches in hazard and fire safety regulations.
Speculations are that Sting promoter Laing had something to do with it.
Sting 27 didn't see an appareance by Bounty Killer and his name was
never mentioned once. Beenie shared the stage with Assassin and they
went from hit to hit together. He complained about not being paid yet,
while on stage performing, reinforcing the rumors of Bounty absence to
be linked to budget reasons as well as for Vybz and Mavado.
Going back to the appering guests at Sting 27 Khago and I-Octane earned
the crowd respect with good performances,  mean while Gyptian earned
some clapping but his time on Sting stage was very short.
Few ladies really shined and Lady Saw did a very raw and vintage thing
after missing that stage for several years that will surely be remembered.
Kiprich went on stage with Blak Ryno who dissed his best ex friend  from
Gaza Camp Popcaan and AddiJah Palmer.
This Sting editon's is being called a flop also because of the main missing
acts Kartel and Mavado.
More on Sting  later on enjoy this  video from yesterday  gig from Ryno
and Kiprich  in the meantime
.New video including  Beenie Man . Cariblink is taking off every Sting video.
It's hard to keep up I apologize they 're selfish!

*Vybz Vs Beenie & Gaza Freshest Riddims*

As  MissGaza previuosly  reported  Beenie Man went  last week on the
jamaican Nationwide Radio  90 FM's 'Ragashanti Live!' releasing comments  and also a song, Father God Help Him, about Vybz Kartel. According  to Vybz he will not be  addressing the  'The Doctor'  lyrically as  he has  no time for a feud with him.

It was being said that  Vybz Kartel ,alongside  Portmore  Empire  member
Popcaan, had performed a song directed at  Beenie Man last  week at
his Street Vybz Thursday at the Building, New Kingston.
When  asked about the song,  Kartel responded that he has no energy to
waste on negativity. He has nuh time fi folly nor frivolous activity. Right
now, he's working on his new album which will be released in April.
Beenie and Kartel's friction became public recently when Kartel released
a song on ZJ Chrome's 'Dancehall EFX' rhythm called Dancehall Hero, to
which Beenie responded on the same rhythm with his 'correction'  called
Father God Help Him. Speaking on Ragashanti's show Beenie said that he
felt disrespected by Kartel through the song and other things.
In his  yesterday latest statement ,however,Beenie commented that despite everything he still supports the 'Gaza', because he rates talent, he will keep
saying and using the word Gaza.
Kartel is very busy working on his new record as he announced to all his
fans just few days ago, anticipating  that it's going to be an  album produced
by himself and Dreskull of Mixpak Records, that will features Kartel & the
Gaza government.Busy as usual Kartel  will be appearing on a number of upcoming shows including ... Browns Town on Christmas Eve, Mobay on
New Year's Eve and Anguilla and St Martin on the 27th and 28th December.

*Kartel & The Beatles Let It Be {The Remake}*

Vybz  Kartel is Genius and he works hard as well, always in the  studio &
constantly coming up with great ideas  and songs no matter the rumors,
the hate, the beef.
Enjoy "Let It Be", Vybz remake of the famous song from The Beatles.
A Collabo Adidjaheim/Notnice & Zojak World, and one of his latest song
available on I-Tunes and a variety of e-tailers worldwide.
This chune is just another surprise and another classic example of Addi's
versatility.Recorded shortly before his 2 week incarceration  in  Jamaica,
it's an interesting and different approach to a universal  known classic.
Stating in the intro that his grandmother had requested him to record his
own version of  The Beatles classic, the track is delivered over a classic
riddim too : "Worries Rhytm" also already used by Yellow Man andFrankie
Paul back in the days, but here is kinda of remixed with dope results!
